Description: The nanny will primarily care for a 12-month-old baby, so strong experience with infants and toddlers is essential. She has to be a dog lover since there is a dog in the family, a medium size
They are a multicultural family and speak several languages at home. English and Italian would be the preferred languages for the nanny, as these are the languages most commonly used with the baby. The dad is Italian.
Key requirements include:
- Proven experience with babies around 1 year old, with a good understanding of this developmental stage (reference required)
- Enhanced DBS + first aid certifications
- Establishing and maintaining daily routines, including naps, meals, and structured playtime.
- Preparing simple, healthy meals for a toddler and supporting good eating habits.
- Engaging the child in stimulating and age-appropriate activities, such as reading, sensory play, outdoor walks, and activities that support early development.
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, with strong attention to hygiene and safety.
- Supporting developmental milestones, encouraging language development, motor skills, and curiosity (Montessori preferred)
- Light baby-related tasks, such as tidying play areas, organizing the child’s belongings, and managing the baby’s laundry if needed.
Working hours would generally be from around 8.30 in the morning until approximately 18:30 in the evening. Location flexibility is also important, as we may occasionally travel in Italy or abroad (mainly London/Paris).
They are looking for someone reliable, warm, proactive, and experienced, who can become a trusted presence in our child’s daily routine. The person must be ok with a dog at home.
The role can be live in / out. They are based in Piazza del Tricolore, Milano. Salary to be discussed. Trial to take place in London (April) or Milano (beginning of May).
